TUBA CITY, Arizona — The Navajo Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Lester Ricky Graymountain, a 44-year-old man who was last seen on March 11, 2025, in the Tuba City District. Graymountain’s family and authorities are growing increasingly concerned for his safety, as he requires medication and has not been in contact with loved ones.
Graymountain was last seen by his daughter wearing a light gray thin jacket, gray vest, blue jeans, and a black Utah Utes baseball cap. He is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with brown eyes and white hair. He was driving a black Chevy Silverado truck.
According to the Navajo Police Department, Graymountain was stopped by the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) on Interstate 15 near milepost 9 in Tucson. Authorities believe he may have been traveling toward Las Vegas, Nevada, though his exact destination remains unclear.
“We are deeply concerned for Lester’s well-being,” said a spokesperson for the Navajo Police Department. “He requires medication, and his family has not heard from him since he was last seen. We urge anyone with information to come forward.”
Conflicting reports have emerged about Graymountain’s possible route. While AZDPS confirmed the traffic stop in Tucson, there have been no verified sightings of him or his vehicle since. Family members have expressed frustration over the lack of updates but remain hopeful for his safe return.
“We just want to know he’s okay,” said Graymountain’s daughter, who asked not to be named. “He’s a kind man, and we’re worried something might have happened to him.”
Authorities have not ruled out any possibilities, including the chance that Graymountain may have experienced a medical emergency or become disoriented. However, they emphasize that there is no evidence of foul play at this time.
As the search continues, the Navajo Police Department is asking anyone with information about Graymountain’s whereabouts to contact the Tuba City District at (928) 283-3111 or (928) 283-3112.
“We need the public’s help to bring Lester home,” the department said in a statement. “If you’ve seen him or his vehicle, please call us immediately.”
As of now, the investigation remains ongoing, and no further details have been released.
