Leroy Onesalt missing from Tuba City

TUBA CITY, Arizona — Leroy Onesalt, a 51-year-old man, went missing from a halfway house in Phoenix in March 2024, the Navajo Police Department reported. He was last seen in the Tuba City District area earlier that year, but his trail picked up in Phoenix, where he’d been staying. Police don’t know what he was wearing when he vanished.

Leroy Onesalt stands 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, and has gray hair and black eyes. He’s been entered into the National Crime Information Center as a missing person, flagging him for law enforcement across the country. The halfway house, meant to help folks transition back into life, was his last known spot, but no one’s sure when or why he left.

The Navajo Police Department’s Tuba City District is digging into it, working with Phoenix police to check the halfway house and nearby areas. They’re not saying if he walked off on his own or if something else happened—details are thin right now. If you’ve seen Leroy Onesalt or have any info, call the Tuba City District at 928-283-3111 or 928-283-3112.

Tuba City’s the biggest town on the Navajo Nation, and Phoenix is a haul—over 200 miles south—so he could be anywhere between. His family’s waiting for word, and police are hoping someone’s got a tip to bring him home.
