Navajo Police Search for Missing Woman Marcia Cook in Chinle

CHINLE, Arizona — The Navajo Division of Public Safety is seeking the public’s help to find 38-year-old Marcia Cook, who went missing in April 2023. Marcia, a female, is 5 feet tall and weighs 167 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes, and a distinctive feature: dimples on either side of her mouth at the bottom of her cheeks. Her clothing at the time of her disappearance is unknown.

Marcia was last seen on April 1, 2023, at her parents’ home in Whippoorwill, Arizona, a community within the Navajo Nation. She has not been in contact since that day, raising concerns for her safety. Marcia has been entered into the National Crime Information Center to aid in the search efforts led by the Navajo Police Department’s Chinle District.

The Navajo Police are urging anyone with information about Marcia Cook to come forward. Her dimples may help identify her if spotted. If you have seen Marcia or know anything about her whereabouts, please contact the Navajo Police Department Chinle District at 928-674-2111 or 928-674-2112. The police are counting on the community’s assistance to help bring Marcia home safely after more than two years of uncertainty.
