Scottsdale deaths investigated as homicide-suicide

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona — Scottsdale Police Department detectives are investigating the deaths of three people found shot inside a home near Indian Bend Road and Via de la Sendero on March 26, 2025, as a probable homicide-suicide. Officers responded to the residence just after 10:00 a.m. for a welfare check, prompted by a coworker who couldn’t reach one of the victims and reported their absence.

Police tried multiple ways to contact anyone inside but got no response. While checking the backyard, officers spotted two people who appeared dead through a window. They entered the home and found a third person deceased in another room—all three had gunshot wounds. Based on early evidence, detectives believe it’s a homicide-suicide, and they’re not looking for other suspects. They’ve also said there’s no ongoing threat to the community.

The investigation stretched late into the night, with crime scene personnel and the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office on site to process evidence. The medical examiner will determine the official cause of death for all three. The home’s in a neighborhood near the Talking Stick Pavilions shopping center, just west of Pima Road—a quiet area not used to this kind of violence. The case number is 2506393, and police say it’s still ongoing.
