CONGRESS, Arizona — Candice Sayger, a 75-year-old woman with dementia, went missing from Date Creek Road in the Congress area on March 24, 2025, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office reported. She was last seen around 4:00 p.m., walking away from her home in an unknown direction. She’s white, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 140 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes, wearing a vest, blue jeans, and tennis shoes.
Her family says Candice Sayger left on foot, and with her dementia, she might be confused or disoriented. No one knows where she headed—no phone or car to track—and the area’s rural, with dirt roads and open desert stretching out from Date Creek Road. Deputies started searching right away, hitting the ground around Congress, a small town off Highway 89, but they haven’t found her yet.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who’s seen her to call 928-771-3260 or hit up Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232. It’s been over a day now, and with night temps dropping, they’re worried about her out there. Every tip counts to get her back safe.
