Phoenix hit-and-run kills man; police seek suspect

PHOENIX, Arizona — Andrew Worley, 38, was fatally struck in a hit-and-run on January 21, 2025, near 4600 East Broadway Road. Silent Witness is offering up to $2,000 for information leading to the driver’s arrest, the group announced in Media Case #2025-4323.

The incident occurred around 2:43 a.m. when a white Ford F-150, model years 2009–2014, hit Worley. Police say the truck sustained damage to its front passenger-side headlight in the crash, a key detail that could help locate it. The driver fled the scene, and authorities have not yet identified a suspect despite ongoing efforts to locate the vehicle.

Investigators believe Worley was crossing or near the roadway when he was struck, though the precise circumstances remain murky without witness accounts. No one has come forward with information, and police are urging anyone who might have seen the truck—or knows its whereabouts—to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. The reward is available for information that leads to an arrest.

That stretch of East Broadway Road cuts through Phoenix’s southeast, a well-traveled corridor even in the early hours, which makes the absence of witnesses puzzling. Silent Witness, a program long relied on in the Valley to solve cold cases, hopes the cash offer will jog someone’s memory or conscience. The city’s no stranger to such incidents—a separate hit-and-run in Tempe last year left another family seeking justice, though police have found no connection between the two cases.
