PEORIA, Illinois — A 28-year-old felon was arrested Saturday after Peoria Police officers located a handgun during a search of a residence in the 700 block of Hightower.
On March 15, 2025, at approximately 9:38 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a male subject. Upon arrival, they identified the individual as Julius Wilson, who refused to exit the residence. After a brief negotiation, Wilson surrendered without incident and was taken into custody.
During a search of the residence, officers discovered a handgun. Wilson, a convicted felon, was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. He was transported to the Peoria County Jail following an interview at the Peoria Police Department.
