WEATHERFORD, Texas — Three Parker County educators were arrested on March 20, 2025, after a sheriff’s investigation into abuse at Millsap ISD, the Parker County Sheriff’s Office announced on March 21. Paxton Kendal Bean, 25, faces charges of injury to a child and official oppression for assaulting special needs students. Jennifer Cain Dale, 44, was charged with official oppression for verbal and mental mistreatment, while Superintendent Mari Edith Martin, 53, was nabbed for failure to report abuse with intent to conceal.
The probe kicked off when a witness handed over cellphone footage on February 19, showing Bean physically harming kids and both Parker County educators mocking and taunting them with threats and profanity. One incident saw Bean allegedly bloody a child’s nose in a “calm down room” on January 16—Martin got the report but sat on it, skipping mandatory calls to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services or sheriff’s office as state law demands.
Instead, Martin tapped the district’s law firm for an internal review, filing Texas Education Agency reports on February 28 and March 3. The sheriff’s office only learned of the abuse on March 4 via a parent, same day TxDFPS got wind—contradicting Martin’s claim to a witness of reporting earlier. Parker County educators now face fallout as the case unfolds.
