They hit multiple takeover spots, making 30 traffic stops, several arrests, impounding eight vehicles, and recovering two guns.

It started Saturday night when police got word of illegal street racing popping off in different parts of Tucson. Those takeovers aren’t just loud—they wreck property, costing thousands, and put everyone nearby at risk. The two firearms they found only upped the stakes, showing how dangerous these events can get.

Tucson Police are doubling down, saying they’ll keep working with other agencies to shut down street racing hard.
