PEORIA, Illinois — The Peoria Police Department is urgently seeking public assistance to locate Jahmarius L. Sanford, a 31-year-old man missing since February 4, 2025. On April 16, 2025, police responded to a residence in the 700 block of Morton Avenue after Sanford’s family reported no contact with him for approximately six months, a significant departure from his usual social media activity.
Sanford, a Black male, is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. Detectives confirmed his last known contact outside the family was on February 4, 2025, in the 500 block of Northeast Glen Oak Avenue. Sanford is known to frequently walk around downtown Peoria, particularly near CityLink and nearby hotels, which may aid in locating him.
The Peoria Police Department is asking anyone with information about Sanford’s whereabouts to contact Detective Derek Harwood at 309-494-8388.
