AUBURN, New York — Randy Foster, 57, was nabbed by the New York State Police on March 18, 2025, after a deep dive into child exploitation turned up illegal content and weapons at his Sennett home, the agency confirmed. The Auburn man arrested for child exploitation surrendered at SP Auburn, capping a probe that kicked off with a July 24, 2024, search on Miller Road.
That raid uncovered high-capacity rifle magazines and a haul of electronic devices, which the Troop E Computer Crimes Unit later found laced with Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). A Cayuga County Grand Jury slapped Foster with an indictment on January 27, 2025—promoting a sexual performance by a child (D felony), five counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child (E felony), and three counts of criminal possession of a weapon 3rd for the magazines (D felony). An arrest warrant followed from Cayuga County Court.
Foster turned himself in, processed smooth, and now sits in Cayuga County Jail awaiting arraignment. The case leaned on SP Auburn’s BCI, Troop E’s Computer Crimes and Forensic units, and uniform force. Last fall, a Syracuse man faced similar CSAM charges, per syracuse.com—no link here, just a regional echo.
