Navajo Police Search for Missing Man Jay Brown in Window Rock

WINDOW ROCK, Arizona — The Navajo Police Department Window Rock District is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 49-year-old Jay Brown, who has been missing since April 5, 2025. Jay, a male, is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 301 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt over black sweats, and he has a distinctive bear claw tattoo on his chest, which could help identify him.

Jay Brown was last in contact with his family on April 5, 2025, when he left his home in the Window Rock area in an unknown direction. To aid in the search, Jay has been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), a national database that helps law enforcement agencies track missing persons across the country.

The Navajo Police are urging anyone with information about Jay Brown to come forward. His bear claw tattoo is a key identifying feature that could assist in spotting him. If you have seen Jay or have any details about his whereabouts, please contact the Navajo Police Department Window Rock District at 928-871-6111 or 928-871-6112. The police are relying on the community’s help to bring Jay home safely after this prolonged absence.
