Niagara County Sheriff’s Office confirms Skylar Lemke located safe

LOCKPORT, New York — Niagara County Sheriff’s Office confirms that 14-year-old Skylar M. Lemke, who was reported missing, has been located safe. Skylar was last seen in the Town of Lockport on March 29, 2025, at 10:00 p.m., prompting a public appeal for assistance in locating her.

Skylar, a white female, is 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighs 110 pounds, and has blonde hair with faded purple highlights. The circumstances of her disappearance were initially unclear, raising concerns due to her age. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office had urged anyone with information to contact them at 716-438-3394 or NCS Inv. T. Magliazzo at 716-438-3338, emphasizing the urgency of finding the teen.

Lockport, a small city in Niagara County with a population of about 20,000, has dealt with missing persons cases before—local news reported a 15-year-old, Brandon G. DuMond, went missing in 2023 but was later found safe in Buffalo.
