Brian Gene Billotte arrested in Cutter

CUTTER, Arizona — San Carlos Apache Police Department arrested Brian Gene Billotte, a non-native, on March 26, 2025, at 10:47 a.m. near the Saw Mill off Highway 70, acting on a tip. He had eight warrants out—five from Gila County, two from Mesa, and one federal probation warrant.

Officers nabbed him without any trouble in Cutter, a small spot on the San Carlos Apache Reservation, about 20 miles east of Globe. Billotte didn’t put up a fight, and they booked him into the Gila County Jail that same day. Police haven’t said what the warrants were for, but with that many, he’d been on their radar for a while.

The Saw Mill area’s off the main drag of Highway 70, a quiet stretch surrounded by reservation land and not much else. San Carlos Apache Police are glad to have him off the streets, and they’re working with Gila County to sort out the next steps. No word yet on when he’ll face a judge.
