Aurora Torres missing from Gila River

SACATON, Arizona — Aurora Torres, a 13-year-old girl from the Gila River Indian Community, went missing on March 25, 2025, and the Gila River Police Department is asking for help to find her. She was last seen around her home in District 4, near Santan, but no one’s sure where she went after that.

Aurora’s 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighs 109 pounds, with shoulder-length red-and-brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black jacket with an “LA” patch on the front, a gray shirt, faded blue jeans, and white Nike shoes when she disappeared. Her family reported her missing late that night, and police are worried—she’s young and hasn’t reached out since.

The Gila River Police are checking around Santan and the reservation’s seven districts, a big stretch of 584 square miles south of Phoenix. They don’t know if she’s on foot or got a ride, so they’re asking everyone to keep an eye out. If you’ve seen Aurora Torres or know anything, call 520-562-4511 or text 911 with tips.

This hits hard after recent trouble here—a curfew just lifted March 9 for kids under 18 due to violent crime spikes. The community’s tight, and they’re hoping someone spots her soon.
