CLARKDALE, Arizona — Clarkdale Police Department officers, teamed up with Cottonwood Police, Verde Valley SWAT, and Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, are hunting for a man who tried to grab a student outside Clarkdale Jerome School on March 24, 2025. It happened around 1 p.m. near the soccer field, where the guy was caught filming in the girls’ bathroom.
He’s heavyset, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with dark hair, dark skin, and acne on his face. He had on a blue hoodie and black jeans. Witnesses say he grabbed a girl’s arm when students walked into the restroom, but she broke free. Then he climbed the school fence and took off into the woods toward Number One Foods, a convenience store nearby.
School staff locked things down fast, keeping kids inside until the day ended. Police stuck around for dismissal to make sure everyone got out safe. They’re still looking for the man—no name yet—and want anyone who knows him to call 928-634-2921 with tips.
