PERTH, AUSTRALIA — An Indian national was arrested after allegedly assaulting a female airport staff member at Perth Airport while waiting to check in for a flight to Bali.
According to the Australian Federal Police, the incident occurred after the staffer informed the man that he would not be allowed to board due to his behavior.
The man initially left the area but later returned, jumped the counter, and slapped the woman in the face.
He then grabbed her by the throat, knocked her to the ground, and kicked her.
Two witnesses intervened to stop the attack before AFP officers arrested the man shortly after.
The victim required medical attention.
Authorities have not released further details about the suspect or potential charges.
